Females
The bulls have always gotten the attention, but the Haglund Ranch herd is home to some fine females as well. The American Gelbvieh Association recognizes top-performing females each year as either 'Dam of Distinction' or 'Dam of Merit' and Haglund Ranch is consistently the top ranch in Montana for owning and breeding these females. Females are available, private-treaty, year-round. Heifer calves in the fall, replacement heifers in the spring, bred heifers and bred cows in the fall/winter, or pairs in the summer. Contact Jim for more information. This year at the bull sale, we will be offering 18 bred heifers, in pens of three, and when possible, half-sisters. In the interest of meeting the needs of our customers we will offer 2 pens of Black Angus bred heifers, and one pen each of red Gelbvieh, black Gelbvieh, red Balancer, and black Balancer bred heifers. Sires of the heifers include In Focus, Alliance I87, and our explosive herd bull, Firecracker.
