With connections to his indie folk, classic country, and bluegrass roots, Burchfield carves a unique path in the folk rock world with his powerful 5-piece, the Fire Guild. American Songwriter has said: "This type of solid songcraft would make Burchfield fit right in on a bill with the likes of Lucinda Williams or Jason Isbell."

Obviously a band named Birds of Play has a penchant for bending words as well as musical notes, which would explain why they call their music “Americawna.” Get it? (Cawm’on. Puns are supposed to make you groan a little … .) But on their fourth album, Bird Songs of the American West, they get down to the serious business of delivering immaculately crafted songs rooted in the finest folk-bluegrass traditions.
Blending guitar, bass, mandolin, violin and close-harmony vocals, Birds of Play paints mesmerizing sonic portraits filled with intricate textures and subtle shadings, coupled with touching, thought-provoking lyrics inspired by the natural world, the human condition and the ever-changing nature of relationships.

The Proper Way is a trio of multi-instrumentalists and singers based out of Ogden, UT. While we are often described as an "Americana" or "acoustic" band, the driving low end of an electric piano and the beat of an electric drum pad make us much more than just an acoustic trio.
We're as likely to play a classic Willie Nelson song as we are Lizzo or the Avett Brothers or Elton John or John Craigie or Tyler Childers or The Bee Gees or Queen or Prince or John Prine or The Band or the Wood Brothers or a bunch of hymns or Jason Isbell or Tracy Chapman.
